The ceramicized lava stone is a relatively young material, because it was introduced in our ceramic culture from just three decades.

The ceramization process of the lava stone is different from that of clay (or the so-called "biscuit"), in fact at a temperature of 930 ° C., inside the furnaces, the enamel going in cast interpenetrates the lava stone that at those temperatures becomes incandescent and it incorporates the glaze, when cooled the ceramic becomes one with the lava unlike the clay where he realizes a layer ceramic coated on the surface of the "biscuit". The ceramic realization, thus obtained, in the slab lava stone is a single body ceramic coated, virtually indestructible, which is not afraid of the changes in temperature or atmospheric, wherever it is placed. This type of embodiment is also ideal for the kitchen top, on which can be placed directly very hot saucepans without causing alterations. It does not stain, does not scratch and even can be used to crack dry fruits  , such as almonds, walnuts, or even as a cutting board.

With lava stone ceramic, you can also create, sinks, tables, tops of any kind. The only limitation is to not exceed 2 meters in length for the slab to be placed, as there would be the risk that during the process of baking at high temperatures the slab may be subject to slight depressions (1 - 2 cm) between one end and the other, which could compromise the proper and functional installation of the finished piece.
